Spending some time with this one this morning!!
Post coma Jerry having had a few more months to recover, is hitting his stride. Very energetic first set. The boys have alot of pep and Jerry is singing pretty good!!

JStraw > Franklin's opener.....
The segue between Mama Tried and Big River is very cool.
Sounds like Jerry is trying to pull them toward Cumberland, but Bob wins out and they go into Big River.
Jerry then proceeds as if to say "Okay..Big River it is-- here take that" and just rips it up one side and down the other.
Nice energy on Don't Ease to close the set!!

Good audience recording to boot!!

2nd set is just about to start...have to get to my seat. Catch you all after the show!!

One of my favorite Jack Straws. I love the blistering lick at the end of Jerry's solo in Mama Tried. Still have the cassette of the radio broadcast (1st set only). Never listened to the 2nd set. Think I'll do that this afternon.

thought this was the first desolation - which I remember thinking during it, oh shit a new LONG boring bobby tune-who needs that, and I'm a huge Dylan fan-just couldn't figure out it was desolation that the boys bobby was meandering through that March night in Phily-but I regress, that was 86.
